Business Story
Kimberley Estate Mini Mart & Takeaway is a small convenience & takeaway store in Andergrove. They have been serving great fish and chips for 11 years and have become the go-to for many locals in the Andergrove area. Having an attached convenience store makes it a one-stop shop for all the locals needs, which gives this store an edge over big franchises. With the right owner operator, this business can become a staple fish and chip, and convenience store for the locals of Andergrove.
The location of this business is really what brings a lot of value to the table. Located just off Bedford Road, this store is amidst a large suburban area. Being at the back of the suburb makes this store a lot more convenient rather than the other larger stores that are further away. Being near a school also brings a lot more foot traffic at certain times of the day.
There is plenty of growth potential with this business as well. To take advantage of the convenient location, the new owner could look into increasing the stock of their tobacco products and their essential products. This makes the store cover more ground by reducing the need for customers to go to another store if this store does not stock the item they need.
When the business becomes yours, the current owners will provide you with tuition to allow you to grow accustomed to the business. This tuition will run you through everything you need to know to keep the business in a great condition so that you can enjoy a hassle-free transition into the business
The current owner has been operating the store successfully for 11 years now and wish to to retire. They are looking to pass the torch onto a passionate owner operator who will take this business to the next level. If this takeaway and convenience store opportunity interest you, give us a call today!

Phil started his working career in purchasing with large and multi-national companies in Sydney.
A family relocation to Bowen in 1974 was the catalyst to owning his own business.
Phil has been in various businesses from Pest Control to Delicatessen/Takeaway and has for the last 39 years built a wholesale business that has served Bowen, Whitsundays, Mackay and the Coalfields, from 1 truck and himself to 6 trucks and 15 employees.
This has given Phil a very solid knowledge of the area from Bowen to Rockhampton and what it takes to thrive in business there.
Phil has a strong knowledge of business and business practices built through the process of growing his own business as well as time spent on State Franchise Council and dealing with the many changing government policies in those 39 years.
The process of selling his own business has shown Phil the real need for a locally based business broker, easily contacted and heavily focused on the Central Queensland area, which has led to his involvement in CQ Business Brokers.
